Minecraft Sword For My Son

My two older boys are into Minecraft game. I don't know a lot about this game but from what I saw it's like a building game. According to my son, this game is a world of blocks, everything is made from blocks and then you have to do mining to survive.  When you mine you get the stuffs that you can use for building your world. I wish I can give you more details but I don't even play this kind of game. Anyway, my middle son saw a minecraft sword at the toy section when we went shopping last week. He was begging me to get him one but I told him to ask his dad first.

My hubby and I talked and we had decided that the only way we will get this toy for him is when he gets five green cards from school in a week. That means he has to get one green card each day. His teacher gives color coding for the childrens behavior and mood daily and green means he had a great day by following teacher's instructions, participating in activities and behaving well to other kids. My kids has a lot of toys already and they easily get tired of it. By implementing a reward system he'll learn to value the toys he got because he worked hard to earn it and also encouraging good behavior through reward. We generally don't do this reward thing, we always encourage our boys to be in their good behavior at school even without reward. They don't need to be rewarded all the time for doing good works but they always get praises and lots of love and kisses from us instead of material reward.

He kept counting how many days more he needed to get a total of five green cards. When Friday came, he was so excited that he made it. He got five green cards in a week. So, when we went shopping today, we bought the minecraft sword. He's the happiest boy in the world today.

The minecraft sword cost $19.99 at Walmart and it's made from foam. It's  a good quality and safe toy for my boys to play and share with. If your kids are into minecraft, I'm pretty sure they will love this minecraft sword.
