Our First Spring Family Bonding Part 1

Spring has sprung and I can totally feel and see it after a long and very cold winter months.  We had a lovely day today, it was sunny, the sky was blue and a lot of people were out and about taking advantage of the beautiful weather. Although it was still a bit chilly, we've seen a lot of people walking, jogging and fishing.

My husband came home yesterday after a long trip out West. We decided to go out for lunch  and then we walked around the newly built Coal Dock park near WE energies in Port Washington, Wisconsin.

For lunch we went to Beanies Restaurant in Port. We had no clue what food they served because we've never been to Beanies before.
the boys of my life, so blessed to have them

We didn't know what to expect but the moment we stepped in, we were astonished of what we saw. It was beautiful inside, lots of colorful decorations and art works. Beanies specializes  in Mexican food and drinks, although nobody spoke Spanish to us, but through their food we felt we were in Mexico.

They served unlimited nachos with spicy salsa as an appetizer, we all loved it. While we were waiting for our foods, there were group of university students probably about 10 who came over for lunch. I forgot the name of the university but they were here in town for a group singing event. They started singing a cappella but I failed to record a video. They had  beautiful voices that everyone who were there halted eating and just enjoyed listening to their relaxing and uplifting song.

My oldest son ordered a jumbo size taco with beans and rice, my hubby ordered burger with fries, I ordered chicken tenders with rice and beans on the side and my middle son got hot dog sandwich and fries.

We spent about $42 for all our food and drinks plus $7 tip,  it's all worth the money. The  food were delicious, the place was clean, great customer service and it was a fun place for the kids too, look at the different hanging piñata.

How was your weekend going? And how is the weather in your area like?
