Our First Spring Family Bonding Part 2

Our First Spring Family Bonding Part 1

After our lunch at Beanies, we went to the newly built Coal Dock park in Port Washington for a walk. It was perfect day for  long walks and Frisbee game. Can't remember when was the last time we went out for a walk as a family. This years winter seems so long and the coldest that we experienced and  so we hibernated as much as we can.

So when the weather  got warmer and  beautiful as this, we were so  thrilled. Not only this park so beautiful and relaxing but also my kids had a great time playing Frisbee too.

This is the WWII memorial, surrounded with bricks where names of the WWII veterans were written. We were in fact looking for my hubby's friends father who served as a navy during WWII . It took us probably 20 minutes to find his name and we felt so proud when we finally found his name.

What makes this park unique is the landscaping. It has wood bridges and board walks. Also you get to see the beautiful Lake Michigan. That's the lighthouse behind them.

A lot of people came out that day fishing. My oldest son and I used to come and fish on this area  before it was developed. Now, we can't wait to come and do our fishing hobby again especially it looks better, cleaner and safer.

Ahhh what a good day we had, we spent five hours bonding as family on that day. Dear readers, if you happen to visit Wisconsin, make sure you visit Port Washington. This city has a lot to offer and will truly make your trip worth while.

Thank God for the beautiful weather and the opportunity to enjoy life as family. What a blessing to experience His love, grace and faithfulness daily in our lives.
