Spring Has Sprung And So Is My Losing Weight Plan

The weather was lovely yesterday, the sun was out and I saw kids playing outside of the school park. The snow had finally melted, been melting slowly since these past days which is good because there's no worry about flooding due to large amount of snow melting. As the spring has finally sprung and so my motivation to start losing weight. I have to get back on the right track health wise. My pre-pregnancy weight was 116 lbs and during my pregnancy it went up to over 170 lbs until I gave birth. Nine months  after giving birth which is today, I weigh 145 lbs, still heavier than my ideal weight for a 5'4 inches tall woman. As a breastfeeding mom, I always have an excuse not to watch how much I eat and also to avoid exercising.

Well, to be fair to myself I have noticed that whenever I ate less food my milk supply  would decrease. Also, I read that when you exercise your milk will taste bitter. Anyway, no more alibis for me starting today. I will start eating a right portion of food and drink more fluids to have a good and stable milk supply and then breastfeed before doing my exercise. Also, I am no longer babysitting which gives me more time to do things I love to do.

the scale is screaming "GET OFF OF ME" lol
I was doing zumba on wii before I got pregnant. Why wii zumba? It's fun, i love how physically intense it is and I can do it in the comfort of my home. I don't mind joining zumba class too with other people but I just don't want to pay any membership. Zumba is just one of the things I like to do because I also like walking, running, fishing, singing, and the list goes on. I love life, everyday I am thankful to God of my life and the life of people around me. I love being out and about all the time. I enjoy being a mom and a wife and there is nothing more I could wish for. I have a happy marriage, happy kids, great friends anywhere and a very supportive and prayerful church family.

Anyway back to zumba on wii, I choose to do the 10 minutes dance but could not even finish it because as soon as I started dancing, my youngest son also started fuzzing.
wii zumba

There he is, crawling all over me. I just started dancing a minute ago lol. I tried to put him on the crib but he won't stop crying.

I picked him up and put him on the floor but he then hold on to my leg and stood up wanting to be held. I can't even move, I was scared I might hurt him accidentally.

So I picked him up and danced with him, boy was he so happy. I put him back on the floor and he started crying again, so I held him on my arm back and he was laughing and so happy. I figured out he wanted to do zumba too.

I didn't last, my son was heavy and my arm was sore. Only did my zumba for 3 to 4 minutes lol.

Oh well, hopefully I can do it longer next time and I found out he was just actually sleepy and wanting some attention. I'll keep you updated everyweek to my losing weight plan and show you my progress. I know I have to work hard on achieving my goal but same time having fun too.

  7. Working out with a little one can be VERY difficult and even stressful. Keep up the good work and don't get frustrated. I used to try to do a step aerobics tape, but that didn't work because the baby was so interested in climbing on my step...LOL

  9. I've had the kids want to get involved in my exercise routine. It's hard to work out when they're awake, for sure. That's true now even w/my 6-yr old!

  10. I think you should keep trying to do it with him! It makes it harder, I'm sure, but it's extra weight and he's getting involved. I think, eventually, it'll be fun for both of you that way. My son does the same stuff whenever I work out at home.

  12. Maybe instead of eating LESS, just change what you're eating? I don't know what your diet is like, but maybe switch out some of the less nutritious foods like simple carbs for veggies and protein. That way your body is still getting plenty of food, but it's food that's more conducive to fat loss and building muscle.

I love the photos, by the way...if my son's awake while I'm working out, he's always climbing all over me, hahah. Kids are funny!
