Our Simple Thanksgiving Celebration
I'm so proud of myself because for the first time in my life I was able to cook turkey and it turned out delicious. LOL. This is my 5th year celebrating Thanksgiving with my family in the US. In previous years I didn't have to cook turkey nor prepare thanksgiving meal. My mom-in-law and my dear husband did all the hard work preparing for the festivity. I remembered we also ordered a smoked turkey from Mr. Tony's BBQ who's owner is my husband's friend.
Anyway, I am thankful I got the privileged to do some of the cooking today. My work gave us about 16 lbs turkey. They do it every year and that was nice of them. I made the turkey and baked the apple pie. My husband made cornbread muffin, gravy and mashed potato. We didn't make a lot of food but we were all stuffed after eating our meal. We are thankful for God's goodness, for everything He has done and still doing in our life through our Lord Jesus Christ. Also, I am celebrating my birthday in a few days. So blessed to be alive and well. What about you, what are you thankful about?
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.
